Once in a Lifetime

About a month ago my class put on a Kaufman and Hart play called Once In A Lifetime. It's set in the 1930's right about the time the talkies came out. These three young people head out to Hollywood to pursue the business of elocution. The whole thing ends up in a big pile of silly jokes and misunderstandings. I was cast as Miss. Leighton, a ditsy secretary with OCD, and a coat check girl. It was an immense amount of work, but turned out really well! The costumes were probably the best part, though! 1930's clothes are so beautiful and classy!
Coat check girl (me), bellboy (Stephen), and cigarette girl (Lioba).
Lauren Vail (Penny) getting her hair did by Helen Hobart (Charlotte).
Susan Walker (Julia).
Mr. Bellboy (Stephen).
Cigarette girl (Lioba), lil' Miss Susan Walker (Julia), and Phyllis Fontaine (Kat).

Omg, Those costumes are awesome! You look so perfect in that outfit, you really look like someone from the 30ies :)
